金刚有可能打赢哥斯拉吗？

麦可道格堤（Michael Dougherty）继续说：「但是假若你仔细来金刚这个角色的话，你会发现在《金刚：骷髅岛》时它还仅是青少年时期而已，它还会继续的长大，谁知道1973年人类第一次发现它时体型是多大？」，麦可道格堤继续补充道：「金刚拥有超高的智慧，而且身为灵长类的它，是个善于使用工具的动物，它具有速度和敏捷！」，所以依照麦可的说法，其实金刚或许还是有一点胜算的，能靠着机智和速度来取胜！

But then if you really take the time to look at Kong as a character, it's like, okay, in Skull Islandhe was an adolescent, so he was still growing. So who knows how big he is since the 1970s when they first met him? Kong is extremely intelligent, as a primate, he's a tool-user. So he's got speed, he's got agility.

麦可道格堤（Michael Dougherty）说：「而且我喜欢这种被低估角色对上超强大对手的战斗，这就好比是在观看洛基（Rocky）与伊万德拉戈（Ian Drago）的决斗一样，虽然看起来好像不是公平的比赛，但有时候那些被低估的人总会有着惊奇的表现！」，接着继续说道：「我想观看这种比赛，有一部分的乐趣是有机会可以见证这些被低估角色的真正潜力。」

And I like a good underdog battle, you know, it's like watching Rocky go up against Ian Drago. It seems like it's unfair but clearly, this means the underdog might hae a few surprises.I think part of the fun of watching that fight go down is we are witnessing a potential underdog battle.

为什么哥斯拉要跟金刚对打？

不过假如有认真观看「怪兽宇宙」系列电影的话，可以知道金刚和哥斯拉都是站在人类这一边的，在某种程度都算是守护神，但皆为正义一方的它们，为什么会相互对打呢？麦可道格堤（Michael Dougherty）解释说：「我想在人类的内心深处是希望可以看到这样的战斗，这可以追溯到古老的传说和神话，在古希腊时期都在谈论神与神之间的战斗，而另一半的原因，我想人们之所以喜欢看《地球脉动》（Planet Earth）这类的节目，便是喜欢看到物种间的对决，像是鳄鱼与水牛的对打！ 」

I think there's something primal in human beings to want to see a fight like that. I think it goes back to all of our myths and legends, ancient Greek myths about gods battling each other. It's just part of who we are as a species. Half the reason I think people watch the Planet Earth nature specials is to watch animals going up against each other, to see crocodiles going up against water buffaloes.

麦可道格堤（Michael Dougherty）接着继续说：「但当你拥有两只极高侵略性且阳刚的动物时，且彼此都认为自己是属于整个物种的统治者时，他们应该会做出远超于只是喝下午茶的举动，看来他们的对决将会是个宿命了！」，看来2020年5月将上映的《哥斯拉大战金刚》，两大超强泰坦巨兽的对决是势在必行的，至于更详细的故事剧情，只能静待未来官方或编导的在访问节目时的更进一步剧透来略知一二了！
